Call for Abstracts

Abstracts are invited to be submitted for the 35th Annual Conference of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), taking place in-person at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre and virtually from Tuesday 2 – Friday 5 September 2025. Please read the information below before submitting an abstract.

The deadline to submit your abstract is: 23:59 (AEST) Thursday 3 July 2025.

Abstracts can be submitted for either of the presentation types below:

1. Posters

  • If accepted, posters in PDF format (1-2 pages) may be uploaded on the conference digital platform in a virtual gallery.
  • A printed version may be displayed on poster boards in the exhibition hall of the conference venue. Dimensions: A0 portrait.
  • Selected authors will be invited to present their posters in person at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Tuesday, 2 September 2025.
  • If a poster has already been presented at another conference, it can only be submitted to the ASCIA Conference as an ‘encore’ abstract, not for publication. The presenter should be one of the authors listed on the abstract.
  • ASCIA’s preference is for the poster author to present, and they must also be registered for the conference, unless the author is ill and unable to attend. In that case a co-author may present, if approved by the main author.
  • An author may present multiple posters. ASCIA does not currently set a limit, but it would be unusual for someone to present more than four posters.
  • The poster may be submitted by a third party, and be the point of contact, but they need to advise the presenting author’s name.

2. Clinical Grand Rounds (CGR)

  • Open to clinical immunology/allergy ASCIA Associate Trainee members only, some to be selected for oral presentation in person at the conference venue on Tuesday, 2 September 2025, and live streamed on the conference digital platform.
